Re: Comfort Level to go full DSLR

So let's say I am filming a processional (it's already recording, red button pressed)...they get to the altar but now I'm not sure if the bride is truly in focus. Hard to tell on a small LCD or even...

Re: Comfort Level to go full DSLR

Hi Nigel,

How does Quick AF work exactly? I have a handful of Canon EF lens (24-70mm L f/2.8, 17-55mm IS f/2.8, 70-200mm L f/2.8 both IS and non-IS version I, and some primes). I think all of them...

Re: Tall Tripods to Get Over Ppl Standing For Bride?

We have that monopod, but find that it's usefulness is mainly for prep or reception (and even then, we're experimenting with shoulder rigs, which may prove more versatile). For the ceremony, there...

Tall Tripods to Get Over Ppl Standing For Bride?

Hello!

We've done a couple weddings so far and realized that everyone stands for the bride as she enters and leaves, thereby blocking our cameras completely. Even fully extended, our tripods are...

Re: MUST SEE | Best Wedding Toast Ever | Serendipity Studios

Awesome, Travis! How many cameras do you set up at the reception to get these sort of angles? I find it difficult to position the cameras in the right angle at the time, especially when they keep...

Re: Cynthia + Brian: Highlights | Our 2nd Vid Ever

Which parts have crushed blacks? We color corrected every clip to have a desired amount of saturation, constrast, brightness, and vivid pop without looking too unnatural.

The microjitters were...

Cynthia + Brian: Highlights | Our 2nd Vid Ever

We wanted a chance to create a wedding film in our way, our style, that we presented to potential business partners...but in the end, the client didn't like it because of the song choice (so we're...

Re: Not Only Our First DSLR Wedding, But First Wedding EVER! Christi + Daniel Highlig

If you look at the groom's lav, that's also where we put the officiant's lav. All our audio tracks were not so great. In fact, the officiant's lav (which we used here) had the cleanest sound for his...

Re: Not Only Our First DSLR Wedding, But First Wedding EVER! Christi + Daniel Highlig

Thanks Johannes!

We had a hard time getting critical focus even with a 8" Lilliput monitor and LCDVF loupe...hence the lack of sharpness. As for colors...what do you suggest? We shot with the...

Re: Get Vegas Pro 10.0e to use more than 25% CPU usage (Core i7 Sandy Bridge 2600K)?

Why won't Windows allow it? I remember with my old quad core Q6600 and a few versions back with Vegas, I was able to get close to 100% during renders...

I render various formats....wmv, m2t, mov,...

Re: Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e - Core i7 Sandy Bridge - Not Enough Mem to Render?

Why is .wmv slow? Would other output codecs be able to better utilize all of the Core i7's CPU power? Thanks!

Get Vegas Pro 10.0e to use more than 25% CPU usage (Core i7 Sandy Bridge 2600K)?

Just a simple question: how do you get Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e to use as close to 100% CPU usage as possible while rendering?

I have a Core i7 Sandy Bridge 2600K CPU (4 cores, 8 threads) and would...

Re: Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e - Core i7 Sandy Bridge - Not Enough Mem to Render?

I've also tried upping the Dynamic Ram to 2 and 4 with Render Stream at either 1 or 2. All combos lead to the mem issue.

I did find a solution that FINALLY worked though. As you know, 32-bit Vegas...

Re: Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e - Core i7 Sandy Bridge - Not Enough Mem to Render?

Re: Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e - Core i7 Sandy Bridge - Not Enough Mem to Render?

Thanks guys, these tips let me render, though super slowly. Kind of defeated the point of Core i7, but at least it rendered. I'm going to play with Dynamic Ram and render threads to see where I can...

Magic Bullet Suite 11 on AE CS5.5

I normally edit in Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e, but since Magic Bullet is no longer supported on Vegas, I had to start using After Effects CS 5.5 to apply the Magic Bullet plugins.

My question is if I...

Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e - Core i7 Sandy Bridge - Not Enough Mem to Render?

I just built (yesterday) a brand new Core i7 2600K Sandy Bridge desktop with 8gb of Corsair RAM (decent timing too I think) with an ASRock Extreme4 Z68 motherboard.

I was editing a...

Re: JJ + Estee | Wedding Highlights | Serendipity Studios

I'm not usually a fan of upbeat songs like this, but this actually turned out really great. It's the first upbeat song video that didn't feel cheesy or corny.

I'm curious though how you go making...

Also, you are right about the color correction - for 95%+ of our clips, it only took a few minutes each. But it was those 5 shots that for whatever reason weren't matching that added 10-15 hours to...
