Re: C100 and glidecam
Thanks! I used the Canon 35mm f/1.4L, Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, and Canon 24-105 f/4L. The last shot is the 24-105 at 60mm, I believe. I really like using the 35mm on the Glidecam (and in general)...

Re: C100 - iso 850
Because the image retains more dynamic range in the highlights. Below ISO 850 it retains more detail in the shadows, and above 850 the dynamic range remains the same, but you're adding noise. Here...

Noise Reduction
What noise reduction settings are you using on the C100?
It would seem to me that for in-camera noise reduction, that the 1 to 12 scale would have corresponding ISOs that result in the best...

Re: C100 and glidecam
I use the Glidecam HD4000. I'm not sure how well a Glidecam 2000 would work with the C100, but since Glidecams generally work better with more weight, the 4000 model tends to be capable of getting...

Re: C100 and glidecam
Yeah. Works great! With DSLRs I find it helps to add weight to the top of the Glidecam to get better balance and less wobble. So for my 60D I added to the top of the Glidecam two 12.7 oz Glidecam...

Re: C100 audio and Premiere CS6
Come to think of it, I've had audio not show up in Premiere before (with various codecs). It was always a conforming issue. Sometimes it takes awhile for the clips to conform, and until they do,...

Re: C100 audio and Premiere CS6
I've already got VLC Player, but was only using it to play DVD movies. Didn't think to try it for playing files from the camera. Audio works fine there. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Canon C100 $10 Zacuto Eyecup for Viewfinder
I tried my Zacuto Eyecup on the viewfinder and it was pretty good, but it kept falling off, and didn't have as much cushioning and support when pressed firmly against the eye.
I bought this: Blue...

I'm having a problem where I do get audio in Premiere, but I don't get audio when I play a clip in Windows Media Player, which is useful for when I want to check a clip before bringing it into...

Re: Going DSLR for Show/event filming
I've shot several plays and performances with mainly DSLRs.
Typically I'll have 3-5 DSLRs and 1 or 2 video cameras, so 4-7 total cameras.
I find if you have enough cameras, it eliminates most...

Re: 10 videographers at a wedding!
I've done a few weddings where we had four videographers and two photographers all working under the same company. Since we all use DSLRs, it basically looked like there were 6 photographers.

Re: stedicam poll..
The last few shoots I primarily used the 24mm f/1.4 on the 5D Mark III on a Glidecam HD 4000. Worked pretty well. I like primes; I'd typically shoot it at f/2.8 inside, but occasionally at f/2.0,...

Re: What lighting do you use ?
I use an Arri 650 for key, and two Lowel Pro 250's for backlight and fill. I also use a Comer 1800 with either a couple Fotodiox Pro LED 312A lights or Z96 LEDs. The LEDs I mainly use for things I...
