Re: Rokinon T1.5 Cine lens kit on A7s with E or Nikon F mount?

Nikon mounts are more adaptable to other cameras if that is something of value to you.

Re: Removing footstep bounce in post - gimbal footage

Removing it in post will require some tweaking with a bunch of keyframes.

Unless it is a location you can't get to again I would recommend practicing more and shooting it again.

Re: Removing footstep bounce in post - gimbal footage

What I can recommend moving forward is to practice and eliminate the movement the best you can as you operate. That artifact is common with many stabilizers but it can be mostly eliminated with...

Re: Does my C100 Mark II have a defective sensor?

That is a strong indication of an internal reflection between the filter and the lens.

Re: Does my C100 Mark II have a defective sensor?

Hm.. The green band could be an artifact of flickering light coming in the window along with the rolling shutter readout of the C100. It looks like a photographers flash in that respect. That is what...

Re: Full Break Down of Canon Cinema EOS Financing Options

In my opinion today's economics in camera ownership suggest that you need to have a ROI of about 18 months to justify camera ownership. If I can't pay for a camera in 18 months (and absolutely no...

Re: H4n no longer in wide use by industry?

I think Sound Devices has been a standard with the pros for years. I see more of that than any brand of stuff in the audio bags of the guys working it day in and day out.

Re: Continuous AVCHD Playback on PC

VLC will play continuously but it sounds like you are wanting seamless playback. Is that right?

Re: Continuous AVCHD Playback on PC

VLC media player can do that. Load up a folder of files in the play list and bam. It will play them all and even repeat the list if you like.

Re: Your Work Sucks - Being honest without burning bridges

My preferred method is to be as blunt as a spoon but that is a sure way to burn a bridge. People are way too thin skinned when it comes to this kind of thing in my opinion.

That said the way I've...

Re: Line has appeared in pictures

Very interesting.

Well, unless you have something sharing the same memory address as the video card I'm about out of things to suggest.

Re: Line has appeared in pictures

Since the problem isn't in the rendered file I expect the source is still in the graphic card chain.

When you swapped out the cards was the alternate one the same model? Did you use the same...

Re: Help! Video card confusion

You don't have to disable the old one. If the computer isn't booting its not a software problem. Its a hardware conflict. You need to remove everything you can to see if the computer will boot with...

Re: Help! Video card confusion

Lets think about this. The resources is either PCI lanes, interrupts, or address space. It's unlikely that it is address space. Of the remaining ones it's PCI lanes that video cards are particularly...

Re: C100 or C300?

I think we have already seen the C300 MKI peak with productions. The pendulum seems to be swinging away from it as the flavor of the week. The MKII may change the swing but I don't really know for...

Re: Outsourcing Color Correction

One of the biggest things I can say is this - doing color is subjective and is its own art. Be sure to find someone that fits how you work and someone you can communicate well with.

You'll be...

For simple color/exposure normalization without having...

Re: Line has appeared in pictures

If you have it laying around it would be worth it to swap in an test. That isn't a very powerful card so it may not work well but if the green artifacts are gone you will have your answer.
