tweak in camera or in post?
I've got the XHA1 and while it looks flatter right out of the camera, and not as colorful as the Pannys, people a lot more technical than I am say the XHA1 gives them more data to play with in post....

So if I understand this -- I'm a Canon XHA1 guy, not a photography guy but seriously considering the 5D Mark II for indie filmmaking -- you guys would recommend Nikon lenses with a Canon-Nikon...

M.Paul,
Sorry I missed your post until now. Yes, the Magic arm is quite heavy, but seems nice and solid. Re: the hole, 1/2" to the right of the Input button. It looks like perhaps there should be...

HV20 versus HV30
Doesn't the HV30 have 30F, which the HV20 does not have? I've been thinking of getting an HV as a second to my XHA1 and I like shooting 30F. If the HV20 has it, and is cheaper, that would be a reason...

Interesting.
I like shooting 30F on my XHA1 and I've been tempted to get the HV20 as a B camera, but the HV20 doesn't have 30F so I figured I couldn't mix them. The new HV30 has 30F, though......

And I...

HV20 and 30F
I've been searching for an answer to this question, but can't seem to track it down: Does the HV20 shoot 30F? I know it plays back 24F and 30F.
Like Taky, I prefer to shoot 30F with my XH-A1. I...

HV20 vs. HV30
I, too, have been thinking about buying the HV20 and using it as a B camera and deck. But I really like shooting in 30F HDV on my XH-A1. Which the HV20 doesn't have, right? Has anyone mixed HDV...
