This is Darwinism on so many levels?
Curios why is the car there in the first place? Out of gas?
I get how dangerous pushing the car out of the way is, but since they were foolishly standing...

I guess it depends on your perspective, I'm one of the founders of ACUAS.org, an advocacy and trade organization for the commercial use of sUAS. We started with a simple premise, it is not incumbent...

People hardly comment anymore. Its kind of discouraging.
I liked the shots. I agree I would like to have a seen a bit more of the house. Its a challenge to figure out different ways to shoot...

Re: FZ1000 sunset shots NYC
Yeah I received an email about the GH5 release at NAB, of coarse it could have been an Aprils fools joke, But if true it would be interesting to see if there's an upgrade to the FZ1000
Great...

Re: FZ1000 sunset shots NYC
I have the GH4 and have never heard of this camera??
That's really impressive especially for the price. One thing I noticed is that it only shoots 4K at 30fps, doesn't have an option for 4K...

Re: Amazon drones in the UK?
That's not exactly correct. Transponders don't broadcast the tail number. Also most full size planes don't have TCAS its only required on aircraft above 33,000 pounds and/or more than 30 passenger...

Despite all you read about the problems with DJI I can give one very good reason for not purchasing an Inspire 1. Its a quad!

Re: Ask the FAA to allow this!
Good points all. And this, for better or for worse, is how the free market regulates itself. It will take time to sort out but this process will result in better quality drones, the right insurance...

Re: Lenses and headshots
No worries Brian, I shoot still with the Canon 5D3 and most of my video with the GH4. You are correct the lowest ISO for the GH4 is 200, at least for video, there might be a setting somewhere that...

Re: Lenses and headshots
Obviously photography and cinematography require very different technique.
I shoot headshot's with an 85mm lens on a 5D3 with at least two strobes so that I can shoot ISO 50, f./7 @1/125. If...

Re: Ask the FAA to allow this!
The FAA's NPRM is a good first step in regulating the commercial use of drones. Those regulations would not have necessarily prevented this amateur from producing this video, which to Donald's point...

Re: FAA Streamlines UAS COAs for Section 333
The 200 foot limitation seems a bit arbitrary, but its all trending in the right direction. The FAA probably wants to keep the license requirement because the 333 exemption is for commercial...

Re: Flying a phantom underground
Very cool location, not sure why they didn't shoot it with a better camera, GH4 or 5D3? They make it sound like that was difficult to do. That was about as easy as it gets.

Re: Freedom One Shot with GH4
Yes, 90% of it was GH4 the rest was Canon 5D3 and the timelapse was a GoPro.
You can check out Ryan's Freedom One video, I believe the entire thing was shot with the A7s. I was thinking about...

Re: Freedom One Shot with GH4
I shot on the GH4, the other video by Ryan was shot with the A7S.
There's not as much aliasing in 1080 as there is at 720, but there is a little.
