HC1 working fine
I just found out that HDR-HC1 works fine with latest Tiger (10.4.2) FCP5.02 AND Kona 2 version 1.12 driver!!
I was using FX1 to capture since it is easier to load the tapes because HC1's tape door...

What part of media manager are you having problems with?
I tried both DV to HDV and offline to HDV. They both worked for me.

Setting the frame rate down to 15 frames with Compressor 2 made it to a reasonable outcome but it wasn't as nice as yours. I'm also having hard time converting HDV to DVD anamorphic, too. ...

Has anyone encoded HDV to QuickTime 7 H.264 streaming like how well Apple has done? I have tried to use the preset in the Compressor 2, but the results in dropping frames often when you playback...

I tested the new, 10.4.2 with the FCP5 5.0.2...
I tested the new, 10.4.2 with the FCP5 5.0.2 update and the Kona2 software version 1.1.2 but still not working. I heard that Decklink software is out, too. I will let you know what happens.
