The answer is IT DOES NOT HOLD UP. All video cameras hate water. The Porta Brace rain slicker I bought for my Canon XL series cameras fits the EA50 well enough to be safe to use.

The camera is set up the way Chris described for a reason. I suggest setting the menu selectable presets for standard daylight or tungsten, whatever you prefer. “A” & “B” presets are there...
