it's a cheap lens - take a look at sample video - you have to zoom in a lot to get rid of vignetting, which eliminates the purpose of fisheye.

I have to agree. Previously I used VX2100 and it's a great camera for run-and-shoot situations. I switched to FX1000 and at first I was kinda upset that the automatic mode isn't as quick as in VX....
