Re: Quality 24p footage?

The C100 has a much sharper image, better Lowlight, and higher DR when put up against the FS700. Now if you do the 4K upgrade and get a odessey 7Q or Sony's recorder option. You now have a 4K image...

Re: Does the fs700 have a fuse?

Thanks Kajito. I couldn't gamble with time unfortunately. Maybe it will work once at Sony and they'll send it back.

Re: FS700 Hand Grip replacement

That's a really good idea but I don't know how to do that :/
I was given Sony's # and it's $170 to buy a replacement. Your recommendation is tempting.

Edit: I purchased the grip new. Thanks...

Re: first major problem with fs700

Does look like a memory card failure/writing to card error. Was footage recorded to the same card or different ones?

Re: colors when in slow motion

I wouldn't say I have had different colors shooting HFR but I have had decreased DR when shooting HFR. The highlight edges look funky imo at 240fps. I just shoot 120fps when needed for now till I can...

Re: C100: CH1 and CH2 ganged?

go into the menu under audio input and go to XLR Rec Channel change it to CH1 only. It maybe under CH1/CH2. That should correct the issue.

Edit: I see your issue now. Very strange!

Re: Sony VG30

Hi Anthony I only mentioned the EA50 as it's practically the same as the VG20/30 cam. I'm only willing to spend $1200 max on the cam if I do get it and have seen the vg30 body only for $1099 which I...

Keeping entire folders intact. Using Sony Vegas so yes from my jobs there are 3-4 0001 files but it's just something I deal with since using cams with solid state media.

Re: C100 in Bright Sun - NDs insufficient

I understand now. I shoot at 30P and shooting at a higher shutter doesn't bother me all that much ;)

Re: C100 in Bright Sun - NDs insufficient

I think you misunderstood my post which is ok. It probably wasn't stated properly. Shooting with the C100 I have found that ISO 320 clips the highlights badly compared to ISO 400 and 850. If I'm...

Re: Short film Wedding (C100)

Thanks Oren. You are correct that I need a longer focal length on the vows. Was feeling the same way in the edit and at the shoot. Thanks for watching.
