If you can find an old wide and fast lens then get it, you don't need auto focus, the wider it is the more dof you will have, example, my tokina set at f 2.8 and at 11mm, when I focus it at around 7...

Yeah like Jeff said, you need faster lens F 2.8 minimum, F 1.4 preferred, those lens you have only good for outdoor wedding during the day, and you need wireless mic for vows, strings quartet,...

For that low light and macro you need at least F1.4 lens, and I think the Sigma 20mm F1.8 is good for both situation, but if you have money and want the best then, get the Canon 100 F 2.8 IS Macro...

Yes it was very difficult lightning, I manually adjust wb as best as I could and adjust more in post, the sound was from the band mixer feed into my wireless transmitter then into the Zoom H4N then...

My Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 when shooting at 11mm at F2.8 on my crop 60D will give you from about 3 and half feet to infinity, you can get down to 3 feet if you stop down a bit.

Thanks Jeff, I use the HD-1000 with the 60D most of the time with the Tokina 11-16mm, you see very deep dof with it, some shots I use the Sigma 20mm, those shots you see shallower dof and a few shots...
