Re: RODE Videomic Pro
Hi Claire,
I hope Colin has his as then I might get mine shortly! My deadcat has yet to arrive (Rode said it could take up to 6 weeks).
I find the VMP fairly susceptible to breezes so I'm...

Panasonic TM900 - Easy Creep Zooms
Alan,
Creep zooms are really very easy with the top button (this was a dellightful surprise to me when I first got the cam). If you are on a tripod and accidentally leave the Image Stabilisation...

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread
Dave, this is correct for the TM900 too - I'd not explained this bit very well (sorry for the lengthy quote but it seemed the best way to make sure this is finally nailed once and for all!)
Dave,...

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread
Bryan,
I'm sure others will help try and clarify this too but the TM900 will only "automatically set" it's own Shutter Speed when in iAuto. Forget iAuto. You sound like a guy who knows about...

Ditto, my experiences are the same as you Phil. I'd love to know if there is a trick I'm missing too!
Need to spend more time with this cam!
EDIT: OK, got the camera out and played with this...

I can't answer all your questions but here is some info/my perspective.

Scot, try/use whatever business model works for you in your market. I think you've got some fresh ideas here so why not find out if it's what your clients want and see if you can make it fly? Its...

Re: Canon 70-200mm 2.8---IS or No IS?
Any on camera sound is rarely perfect as that's usually the worst place to have a mic (handling noise, operator breathing/sniffing etc. noise, too far from talent... and yes might pick up IS from the...

Re: Tm-750
I agree with you about 3D - I've zero interest in that too! 96GB on-board flash memory sounds pretty decent - that's hours and hours of lovely 1080p50! Enjoy it!

Re: Canon 70-200mm 2.8---IS or No IS?
If you do a quick search in the 7D section (and probably 5DMkII one too) you'll see this question (IS or not IS?) comes up pretty regularly and gets discussed at length with opinions on boths sides....

Re: Tm-750
Jason, I believe (I may be wrong as this is from memory when I was researching TM700 versus TM900) that the TM750 has upgraded Hybrid Optical Image Stabilisation, identical to the one on the TM900...

Panasonic TM900 Wide Angle Adapters
OK now I understand what you were asking and why. There are times when 35mm field of view is just not wide enough (for sure on my TM900 - and I can't easily just step back. I think some of the new...

Re: Apple insider reports new FCP at NAB
Thanks again John. I've now watched that too. Looks like FCX will be even more user friendly (in parts) than Vegas Pro (which I also use). So much goodness in what's coming. Great stuff!

Thanks for that video. After watching it "I'm in". I held back on the last, in my opinion lame, Final Cut update and waited for something like this. I'm now very happy with what I've just seen in...
