But "professional" is a fairly ambiguous term. If compared to non compressed codecs from very high end systems.... then no.
But.... so far it does...

I'm more interested in RAW so that the white balance, sharpness, and contrast ( especially highlight recovery ) can be adjusted in post.... not necessarily in codec quality....

I'd put my hand in front of the lens and get it...
I'd put my hand in front of the lens and get it to drop the iris to as open as it would go.... then hit the exposure lock button.... then spin the dial on the back until the view on the lcd looked...

1st commercial shoot with 5d2...
I shot and edited this on the fly.... 4 hours.... very easy workflow in fcp. ( export appletv qt, then open that file in qt and save as a qt.... no fps conversion other then appletv codec.
