Re: C100 in Bright Sun - NDs insufficient
Shooting 30P you get the stutter but I don't mind as long as my camera movements aren't fast. I also shoot 80% at 1/120 in 30P. If you're shooting 24P I don't honestly know but in 30P the stutter is...

Re: C100 in Bright Sun - NDs insufficient
Because I shoot 30P with the C100 I also crank up the shutter when I have ND-6 and Aperture at 1.8 outside. Highest shutter was in the 200's don't remember the exact number as the shoot was last...

Re: Anyone offer ONLY a highlight video?
It actually can work. If people are more accustomed to shooting multiple cameras from the beginning I would advise against 1 camcorder. I film 28+ quinceaneras a year with 1 camcorder and a couple...

Re: Sony at CES2013
Yes that's XAVC 300mbps 4:2:2 (INTRA-FRAME) 10-bit that is in the Sony F55. It's also 240Mbps at 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 at 24P. In the specs 4K Long Gop also is 8bit 4:2:0. I'd expect sony to implement long...

Re: Sony at CES2013
I highly doubt we'll see 300Mbps in a prosumer though. I'd expect 100Mbps (maybe alittle bit more) long Gop 4:2:0 in that model. That should still be ok for Class 10 U1 cards. Then again it's Sony....

Re: C100: 1080p/50 AVCHD 2 (Maybe One Day?)
As much as I want this to happen the new consumer cams have Digic DV IV compared to the C100 Digic DV III. I'd imagine digic dv 3 can do avchd 2.0 easily as it can do mpeg2 4:2:2 50mbs. I guess we'll...

Re: New Firmware - Is it coming? If so, when?
Well w do know that Canon will be adding Auto-focus via firmware to the C100 for STM lenses. That will be a "added feature". Sony has been great adding features to it's F-series cameras and even...

Re: C100: recent low-light wedding
Looks good. Would be nice to view it as a 1080P size though to see the better quality. I've enjoyed using my C100 for 3 weddings so far and just recently had a lowlight reception event where you...

Re: Canon EOS C100
Yes used it on 2 weddings so far. The EVF is pretty much useless for me. Taking a while getting use to where certain buttons are located. I really miss the ability do Over/Under-crank and no 60P....

Re: The end of consumer video cameras?
It sure is a sign of the times. P&S market is taking a huge hit because of cell phones with their cameras. There's numerous times when I would just take a pic with my phone. I wonder which direction...

Re: Canon EOS C100
So I decided on a whim to buy the C100 after all. Coming from using the AF100 man it's going to take a while to get use to shooting with this new camcorder. Liking it so far though.
*One thing I...

I was pointing out that you said you have yet to see a real test from a production model and my point is the camera he has is a production model. That was all.

Re: No more video cameras?
You should see the amount of people who think I am the photographer and I use a AF100.
To the OP, DSLR's are pretty much here to stay. I don't believe we'll see anything revolutionary from them for...

Re: Canon EOS C100
Agreed but I'm looking more at their new codec XAVC which they will be pushing at NAB. It's specifically handles 120P easily and of course 4K which I have no use for now. That's the direction that...
