Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
Nigel,
I just read posts about how unusable a lot of the GH2 footage was because of poor focus (by Jeff Harper), so I was trying to figure out why it was so hard to focus for him and I guess I...

Follow Focus Feature Disabled?
I saw this clip here: YouTube - GH2 Light Speed AF Demo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2eBL4LXsxU&NR=1)
which demonstrates AF and follow focus or something?
But one of the comments states:

Syncing Zoom H4N/H1/etc. Audio to 24p
So many of us are using DSLRs/EVIL cameras to film weddings at 24p. However, many are also using external recorders such as the Zoom H4N or H1 to capture better audio than the onboard audio the...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
Yeah Jeff...seems that way. I really want to like the GH2 more than the 60D since the GH2 has much better video quality, but things like being unable to focus the GH2 scare me. Is it really harder to...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
Thanks Jeff. Yeah, I am debating between the 60d and GH2. I love the 60d build quality, form factor (larger size than GH2), menus, LCD screen, etc.
But I love the GH2 because it provides much...

Re: GH2 for run and gun work
Wow, sounds like focus is really hard to do on the GH2, even on a tripod...much less moving shots.
How hard is focusing on the GH2 compared to focusing on the Canon 60d/7d?
What makes focusing...

Yeah, it was a funny project and song! The Chris Hansen part...lol.
Though it looked too much like video to me, despite the shallow DOF. Seemed almost TOO sharp rather than having a softer...

Re: GH2 for run and gun work
It seems like a lot of the complaints about the wrong form factor are applicable to all DSLRs being used as video cameras. Critical focus is hard on any HDSLR/EVIL or similar with just a 3" LCD...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
Thanks guys!
Yeah, I should have clarified that my question was directed at those with complaints with the GH2. Jeff Harper, it sounded as if you really didn't like the GH2 for weddings, yet were...

Re: GH2 for run and gun work
Curious why you felt the GH2 was so difficult to use and why a video camera and/or GH2 on wide in the back is necessary? Is it because the GH2 form factor is so much smaller than the Canon...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
All right, guys, I did my best to read through all 5 pages of posts, but if I missed anything...sorry.
Let me confirm and sum it up: The GH2 is no good for weddings/run and gun. If used for...

Re: 7D or 60D for HD Dslr?
So obviously the 7d outputs higher res for external monitoring than the 60d, but I only have a 8" Lilliput monitor (800x600), so would I even be able to tell the difference between the 7d and 60d...

Re: 60D features questions.
I too am interested in how the external monitoring output on the 60d is. It seems silly that it's not outputting at 1080p or even 1080i, but drops it way down. That said, my external monitor is no HD...

MB Looks 1.4.2 working one day, not the next

I was using Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 with Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c 32-bit fine for awhile, then all of a sudden, MB Looks stops working. When I go to add the MB effects plugin on a video clip,...

Re: Wedding Web Site Finally Launched
I think that's a bad way of wording it because the first part makes it seem like you're not asking for a meal, but the second part contradicts it saying provide me a meal so I don't have to leave.
