How do you mount your 70-200mm?
Hi guys,
I'm about to get myself an EA50 and am putting together a list of things I'll need. I am curious how you guys (or girls!) using Canon lenses & adapters are mounting the 70-200 camera/lens...

Re: Leaked specs for the upcoming Hero 4
Craig, is this just speculation or do you have factual evidence.
If anything, I would expect the updated camera to run cooler, seeing as they're claiming the new hardware is more power efficient....

Re: GoPro Hero 3+ Launched
The camera is the same size but the housing is smaller and lighter... so all other accessories stay the same.
I wonder if the smaller housing will available as an extra accessory if you wish to...

Re: Leaked specs for the upcoming Hero 4
This article does not contain anything which hasn't been known since the start of the year.
It tells us nothing concrete at all about the next GoPro - only about the new Ambarella A9 chip.

Re: Infrared POV cameras?
Also while we're on the topic of lens mods, I did end up ordering a 50mm lens from Ragecams for another trip I've got later this year where I'll be trying to travel light - swapping a 2-camer DSLR...

Re: Infrared POV cameras?
Yep Alistair I had checked out the Ragecams options - however I needed several cameras and didn't feel like converting 4-5 cameras to infrared which I may never use again. We ended up just using...

Re: Documentary and frame rates
Go for 1080p. It's easy to scale down if you need to! Plus in wide mode, the processing is much cleaner with less aliasing and moire at 1080p than 720p. In Narrow mode, however, 720p looks really...

Infrared POV cameras?
Does anybody know of any compact/action/POV cameras that have infrared capabilities? At the moment I am looking at modifying a couple of GoPro Hero 2's but was wondering if there is an easier off the...

Re: Documentary and frame rates
You can just shoot it at 60p and edit it on a 24p timeline - I doubt anyone would even notice any difference in the motion. This gives you the option of slow-motion too.

Re: 7D raw buffers cracked by Magic Lantern
Hi Ted,
just wondering about the 60p modes - what options are there for 16:9? Does the 7D have the wierd pixel aspect ratio at 60p like the 5DmkIII does?
Thanks for the updates so far, I was...

Re: Mark iii ML raw WITH AUDIO !?!?
What exactly are you shooting?
I realise this is not the answer you're looking for but at this stage the only realistic audio workflow with the 5DmkIII RAW is to use a clapper - the same way its...

Robert, I think the big difference between weddings and concerts is that with concerts you have a strong legal grounding to stand on. You can say "sorry, copyright does not allow it" (of course you...

Re: 720p in a 1080p timeline
Tim, if you turn on 'scale to frame size' in Premiere, then once you drop your clips on the timeline they will automatically fill the frame. It's still the same thing as if you'd scaled them up to...

Re: 5D Mark iii Accessories - which are essential?
One of the hardest things I find when using the mkIII compared to the the mkII or 7D or 60D (or any other Canon DSLR) is that they changed the button for focus assist zoom from the AF point buttons...

Re: 5D Mark iii Accessories - which are essential?
I agree with Jon and Nigel that the #1 accessory is a good monopod. It is more stable than a shoulder rig, takes the weight off your arms, and is far more convenient when you need to quickly change...

Re: How do I shoot slow motion with the 60d?
If you shoot 24fps and slow it down, you'll end up with either blended or duplicated frames. The motion will not be as smooth. Of course some software such as AE or Twixtor uses interpolation to...

Re: How do I shoot slow motion with the 60d?
You're not technically shooting slow motion just because you're shooting 60 frames a second. It only becomes slow motion when you play it back at a reduced speed - like 24fps or 30fps.
Two ways...
