Re: My EX1 may become a B-roll camera to this

What do you guys mean by "resolve higher?" Like the EX is higher than 1080p resolution?

Re: Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

Wow, I don't even know what those terms are.

But the linear gamma did fixed the problem for me. Thanks!

Re: Solution For DSLR Record Limit

Wow, amazing camera...though I guess it's about twice the price of the Panasonic AF-100. I wonder if this Sony has servo zoom and continuous autofocus.

Re: Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

Thanks, Ian!

1) No, no other effects applied on the track or specific event level.
2) What does assume linear gamma even mean? I've seen this feature, but no clue what it does.
3) Yes, they are...

Re: Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

Hmm, I didn't render out to anything. I'm just working on the timeline still in Vegas, and the colors shown in the preview monitor in Vegas don't match the colors in the preview monitor of...

Re: Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

I thought it was supported up to 1.4.2, but not 1.4.3.

In any case, what happens is I go in Vegas, click the track FX icon, add the MB Looks plugin, click the "edit" button, which opens up...

Re: Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

The Vegas version is more accurate to the end product out on the web. The MB version is just very washed out, diffused, soft, etc. It's like it's been desaturated of color or the brightness was...

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

Jim, I don't think it's a question of whether or not to include the long form edit. I agree with you about its inclusion, and I have always intended to include it. And while most people would not...

Colors on Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c don't match Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LookBuilder)

So when I shoot my footage from Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c over to Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 (LooksBuilder), I notice the colors don't match at all. Of course, both softwares/plugin are using the same...

Re: Solution For DSLR Record Limit

Interesting idea, Travis. But what if after your 10-12 minutes are up, you don't decide to immediately continuing recording on your DSLR? That would throw the Gymboss's timer and the DSLR's timeline...

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

The full ceremony itself might be acceptable, but a full processional just seems excessively boring. Yet, my client wants this, saying that her mom is the type to watch such things over and over...

Re: What's your computer/editing set-up?

A custom PC desktop with Intel Q6600 quad-core, 4gb Ram, and a mid-level Nvidia Quatro graphics card from back in the day (probably worth next to nothing today). Sony Vegas Pro 10, PluralEyes, Magic...

Re: Breaking up your shooting time

Don't worry, she's probably lying. No self-respecting videog/photog would offer breaks like she is asking. It reminds me of college, when the time between classes would determine if I went back to my...

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

Thanks John! Yeah, I guess we can cheat the audience reaction shots (from taking them from a different time rather than actually when the processional/ceremony are occurring).

Client wanted whole...

Re: GH2 Lumix Wedding

Although there seemed to be a few focus issues, the content of this was incredible. Something felt very real, intimate, and genuine about this edit. Great job!

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

Haven't spoken to priest. They haven't booked a ceremony location yet. I'm just trying to gather general ideas for filming such situations with a full processional and ceremony/speeches.

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys! Yeah, one of our cams will be blocked off and stationary (unmanned) - probably the deep DOF cam, like a Sony Z7/Z5/A1. We considered the Sony NEX-VG10 for...

Re: How to Make Processional or Full Ceremony Less Boring?

What about doing slow slider shots on the floor as they...
