Re: Follow Focus Aids for Bridal Entry

Bob Drummond,
thanks for posting the full wedding edit. It's not often we get to see more than a trailer. I'm jealous, you have 3 cameras in the ceremony, at least 2 have camera operators!
I think...

Re: 5DtoRGB, still interlaced?

Gary,
why do you recommend Clipwrap? I believed 5DtoRGB had a small advantage, it corrects the interlaced chroma subsampling,

Re: 5DtoRGB, still interlaced?

I shoot in either 25psf or 50i on my Canon C100. I was trying to convert/transcode my original footage to prores422 25p (in this case it was originally 25psf) so that I can either hand it to a client...

5DtoRGB, still interlaced?

I just put my first footage through 5DtoRGB after reading recommendations by Matt Davis and others. It seems to work quite well and is a lot faster than I thought it would be.
I only have one...

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100

Gary Huff, I didn't know that. That does indeed make it a vital piece of kit although opening and closing the screen all the time might get a bit tedious! I'm going to experiment more with the VF and...

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100

I've used it on a couple of shoots. It is a good addition to the camera and well designed. It's a real shame the magnify function doesn't work in the VF as that would have made the C-cup a vital...

Re: C100 on the way! PLEASE help me compile a kit...

Like Matt I have found the 18-135 pretty useful until things get really dark. It covers a lot and zoomed in you still get a lot of dof if you want it.
Matt, how far do you push the ISO/gain when...

Transcoding for AE and FCPX- What's best?

So far I've been letting FCPX transcode but I've been finding the old PsF to progressive buggy. I have to keep checking and changing to progressive.
I have a project that I'm going to do a lot of...

Re: Im about to make the jump....HELP!

the tamron 17-50 is vc is a bit tedious to work with as the focus ring goes in the opposite direction to canon lenses. on my one the zoom is pretty stiff too which makes reframing not as swift as one...

Re: Best general usage Lens for c100?

Brett,
I assume you are talking about the 18-135?
so it's kind of the opposite of the push auto focus?
you have it in auto but can override the autofocus by manually focussing?

Advice needed- first shoot C100 (also using Canon 700D as Bcam)

Hi, finally, after months of dithering over what camera I was going to buy I bought a Canon C100 on Wednesday. Originally I was going to aim lower than the C100 but I've been lucky so far in 2014 as...
