Re: PPRO CS5 Media Encoder takes forever!
Lowering the bit rate is good advise and 4Mbps should still be very good although I'm sure some will say that even 2Mbps is good for SD although I don't think I'd go that low.
Last year I really...

I definitely would not mine owning this camera and the price is not too far fetched although I still can't afford it but what I find odd is the guy saying you can pay it off in 3 or 4 jobs. I know...

Re: New AVCCAM cameras
I was actually talking about low light capabilities in this case saying it's most likely more similar to the HPX370.
I do wish it had a 1080 60p mode.

Re: New AVCCAM cameras
I just don't see why would it be in between the HMC40 and the HMC150 when the chips seam similar to the HPX370.

Re: New AVCCAM cameras
I'd say the HPX370 should give a decent estimate on how the low light capabilities of these cameras will be since the chips are similar.

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread
For sure this will help end 60i. I do see a battle going on between 60p and 24p in the future.
Anyway, the new S35 sized NXCAM will do 1080 60p.

It also have zebras that I believe the MC50 doesn't have. Since it's newer, their could also be other manual features the MC50 doesn't have. From reading the specs, it appears to have a different...

Re: Sony HXR-MC50E
Your better off with the new CX700 since it adds native 24p and 60p. The MC50 only shoots interlaced.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the chip is around 1/2 or slightly bigger.
At least we know JVC has the glass issue covered. The HM960 with a 1/2.3 chip has a lens that goes to f/1.2.

Personally I'd try to choose between the HMC150 and the NX5. The HMC150 only costs $2,800 while the AX2000 costs $3,500. I view the AX2000 as being way too expensive for not offering any 720p modes...
