Re: First flight w/Phantom 2 (video)

Scott just stay patient. I often advise people to fly about 20 hours or so without the camera so that its second nature. You don't seem to have any problems with orientation but I'd still give you...

Re: B24J Liberator

No kidding, it was a lot of work but considering how old the plane is it looked great.

Its a very nice museum, I didn't really do it justice. I believe the person who manages it used to manage...

Re: Drones banned from Yosemite National Park

What a load of CRAP!

Here's a great example of a wonderful video that if bureaucrats had their way would never have been made: EROSION on Vimeo

They ban MR's because of an increase of videos...

B24J Liberator

This was shot for the volunteers who worked on this B24 so most of the video is of them working on the plane. I was hoping to be able to shoot the plane without anyone there but as things often do...

Re: First time flyer

You don't start out flying your 5D3, you start flying a GoPro and practicing a lot so when you gain enough experience and enough understanding of how MR's are built you can trust its capability and...

Re: DJI releases Phantom 2 Vision Plus

Its not really an issue of shortcoming as much an issue of what mission do you want to accomplish with it.

Re: My latest property tour at beautiful Heathrow

Randy, I thought the same thing about the traffic at the gate. It turned a potential positive to a negative.

Its interesting how you came to some of your other conclusions, not sure if your...

Re: Drone accident in Western Australia

I'm not sure I understand the reference to "channel swapping" either. I seriously doubt that's the case. However, even if you were using a DJI controller, I doubt that would have any effect on this...

Re: Digital Sputnik will light up your sky

Because very few of these small developers have marketing departments or actually do any high end production themselves.

When widgets costs tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars you got...

Re: FPV: Monitor or Goggles

The downside to monitors is the reflection, also it can be a bit disorienting when you look up from the monitor expecting to see the MR and it isn't there.

Goggles are all immersion, its like a...

Re: Digital Sputnik will light up your sky

Its interesting to see all the ways people are starting to Use MR's. I'd like to know what the lights are, where to get them and how much they are?

Re: What do you think!

Re: What do you think!

This whole thing annoys the crap out of me too.

But to your point, I think what your asking about is tethering and in the 21 page proposed rules for commercial AP there was an exception for...

Re: Busting Myths about the FAA and Unmanned Aircraft

Re: Busting Myths about the FAA and Unmanned Aircraft

Actually the way the FAA was trying to enforce "nonexistent" regulations DID shut down the entire industry. If by industry your mean commercial AP.
