Re: Worth upgrading from CS5.5?
I've done several long-form multi-cams with Canon MXF and CS6 has been rock-stable, as well as so much easier to edit than before.
Al, are you sure your problems are related to software bugs? If...

Re: Got burned using the tascam HD-P2
What was the size of the file(s) that did get recorded? Did they play properly?
An audio recorder with timecode is on my shopping list, so I was interested enough to take took a look at the...

Re: Worth upgrading from CS5.5?
Too soon to give you a personal benchmark yet, but those are both areas that Adobe improved. Encore is now 64 bit and has performance improvements. PPro interface and editing/trimming is vastly...

Re: How do I contact the forum?
Adam is spot on; the little red triangle "!" Report Post button is the best way to get our attention for any issues about a post.

Re: CS6 Cloud subscription = Brilliance?
IMO this worried discussion about licensing is much ado about nothing.
If on some far off day not enough people are purchasing perpetual licenses anymore to make it worth the company's bother,...

Re: Working on older projects in CS6
Nobody's going to fault you for finishing your projects before doing a software upgrade. Can't go wrong by staying with what you aleardy know will work.
That said, I can report that I have...

Re: CS6 Cloud subscription = Brilliance?
I get the whole creative suite (currently Master Collection but soon Creative Cloud) for all the reasons that Nevin mentioned, plus I use the additional products including Acrobat X and Dreamweaver. ...

Re: How should I spend $30,000 ?
Things HAVE changed. The Creative Cloud license allows you to download and use the Win version on one computer and the Mac version on the other.

Re: CS6 Cloud subscription = Brilliance?
Brad, there is a monthly option as well. I think it is $79.

Re: Don't worry, it's just for the day
I use a mix of full screen and manually sized windows depending on the device and what else I may be doing. I like being able to have auto-word wrapping based on the window width. But I won't miss...

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6
Mike, what does PAU stand for?
I seem to remember previously (maybe CS5 or so?) that it took 12-24 hours or thereabouts after the official moment of software release for the downloads to...

Re: Adobe Cloud
Obviously, you wouldn't have access to the Cloud if your network is down, but your local applications (PPro, etc) only need to touch your online Adobe account once a month to remain fully functional:...

Re: Adobe Cloud
I'd agree it doesn't economically accommodate those casual users; Master Collection and Cloud probably aren't the right solutions for them. Certainly, I wouldn't buy a pickup truck if what I needed...

Re: Adobe Cloud
Well, sure, "free" would be nice but after all, Adobe is a business with about 10,000 employees, so I don't think "free" is a reasonable expectation (well, except for products like Acrobat Reader). ...

Re: cs6 over / alongside 5.5?
They are separate installations so should co-exist fine. I recently got a limited trial of CS6 for press review. In limited use so far with 5.5 and 6.0 Master Collections both installed, I haven't...

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6
Good point, Dan. It'll also help those out there with CS2 who would otherwise be left out of the upgrade pricing offers. I heard about the 5.5 - 6.0 free upgrade at NAB and also get ad emails from...

Someone who knows for certain can chime in, but I was under the impression that the firmware update that will include Protune won't be released until at least mid-May or so?
