They have had updates but no selectable quality as far as I know. A poster on another forum used virtual dub to record with it, and apparently used huffyuv. If huffyuv can, then another JPEG codec...

What happens to Neo HD v3 users now ?
I bought NeoHD 3 last year - used it for about a month. Then the production was put on hold - restarted recently.
Now I find out that updates to NeoHD 3 have stopped and we are required to pay 129...

I think you misunderstood me. Take a 3-axis stabilizer like the Steadicam Merlin. On the bottom you put counterweights on 2 sides to reduce movement.
On these sides, I was thinking of using these...

Lipo batteries
Also, Lipo batteries would weight far less. Maybe 1-2 kilos (2-4 pounds) for 12V 10Ah.

Disable Automatic Sleep Mode in GZ-HD7
Is there any way to disable the automatic sleep mode in GZ-HD7 ? I want to record off HDMI or component. Irritatingly the auto sleep kicks in after 5 minutes

GZ-HD7 does not output progressive
Does the GZ-HD7 output progressive 25P or even 30P ? My impression was that it does not - it has progressive scan sensors but outputs interlaced..
Is that right ?

CCD HD cameras with 25P < 1000
I was making a list of HD cameras with 25P mode, and guess what. There is only 1 under 1K. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 (OR ZS3 in 30P land). It uses 25P wrapped in 50P container.
ALL other cameras...
