Re: 120p all the time

That does assume that you drop frames to get down to 24 or 60 or whatever. There is an interesting approach that actually combines the frames instead of dropping them. That doesn't render out looking...

Re: Still Photographer Seeking Advice

I suspect some of those sales are to stay a jump ahead of the next camera from Sony. It could be a good time to pick up a deal with the smell of blood in the water.

Regardless of what you do end...

Re: Still Photographer Seeking Advice

My thoughts..

There is always going to be a new camera around the corner. That is just the way of the world right now. My advice is to not chase the bleeding edge if you are doing this for a...

Re: Sony Batteries and Charging

I'm using this one - IDX LC-7S 4 Channel Charger - for Sony 7.2VDC Batteries LC-7S

I know its not a current product. It does charge Sony and generic batteries equally well and fast.

You may be...

Re: Steadicam Solo - $499

Its not typical to put any kind of pan-tilt head on top of a stabilizer.

I'm curious why you would say that would be required to make it truly useful. Can you describe the scenario where at...

Re: C100 footage degraded on export

I just selected a bin full of clips and changed them from progressive to interlaced by clicking on the "Field Motion" field and changing one with the others selected. They all changed together. I am...

Re: C100 footage degraded on export

If you click on the "Field Motion" field for a video in the bin you should get little popup. You should be able to select from the options in the popup. You will have to do this for each file in your...

Re: 7Q Current Capabilties?

While its not optimal there is a workflow to get you there. You will need an external HDMI to SDI converter then the 7Q can accept the signal.

Re: who owns what?

I think that is going to be stuck in limbo until someone relents.

I recommend talking to a lawyer before any more communication with the other parties occurs. You may have legal remedies for...

You are absolutely correct where there is a contract those rights can be...

Re: C100 footage degraded on export

In Avid you will need to open the bin where your footage is located and view it in list view (not thumbnails or script view). Turn on a field called "Field Motion". This will show you how Avid is...

Re: Can't remove zebra

You could also use a graduated ND filter if you can position the lake in the right place of the frame. Those require a more complicated filter holder or a matte box though.

Re: canon servo zoom lens with e-mount

Re: Ikan's New Featherweight 3-Point Spot Light Kit

I looked at the specs for the light fixtures on Ican's website. They don't uniformly list this info across all the products which makes it harder to pick out.

For the IFD576-S the beam width on...

Re: Gopro 3+ should it be this blurry ?

The GoPro is a fixed focus camera. It can't change focus distance without taking the camera partially apart.

To me it looks like too much gain from low light. GoPros are NOT known to be good low...
