any idea what the weight of it is roughly? its as much customs charging import duty that hurts.. i had to order a mic from B&H because they didn't sell the variation over here (no shoe mount on ours!) and it cost as much as it would've cost over here after shipping and customs. major headache :(

exchange rate is good at the moment tho, i'll have to see how finances are :) reading the steadicam flyer review is making me jealous tho :D

price i'm seeing here is £370 on their website, which is pretty much the same as i've seen it around other places last month.. unless they haven't updated the shop part and i'm reading the wrong part ?

Here's something interesting...

The DVRigPro is now back up to 579.97 at evsonline.com. I wonder what happened. In either case, it is still 499.99 at B&H so I ordered one before they ended up changing their pricing back as well.

I've been eyeing these and the extra $80 could be used to help pay for a remote. From the sounds of it, hopefully I did the right thing in buying one.

DV Rig

Hi Ron,

This is Tom McKay from VariZoom we are the Dv Rig distributor. You made a good choice ordering the DV Rig at that low price. I am fairly certain the price will be back up about another $70- $80-- next week.

Also FYI the VariZoom Rock works just fine on the foam grip as does the Stealth.

We have two versions of the Rock one that is made from ABS and the other is all aluminum.

If you would like to try a demo unit in Aluminum or ABS I can loan you one to see how you like it. There is a picture of the ABS version on our site and also an aluminum LE version somewhere on the DVinfo.net site.
