Cool! I bet they wish they had used a longer lens, though (or brought a bigger green screen).

Looks like a case of the people shooting were not the same people who edited it. :) Even bringing the green screen down to the water's edge would have helped.

I cringe at the thought of rotoing.

Anyway, the end result worked well.

The original Storyboard called for the Mother and daughter to run up the beach which is why the green screen is further back and why it isn't big enough. The Father and Son where supposed to be getting out of the raft. Things changed and I got to "fix it in post". The craziest thing was that it was raining on and off the hole day so it dramatically cut down the shooting time so I'm extremely happy with the end results.
