nice, great look, great sounddesign, will the complete version be online?

I'm looking forward to it. It seems like the Sci-Fi channel should be advertising this sort of event.

Some online tech problem has pushed it back to May. :(
"Hello Filmmakers, It was just brought to my attention that SciFi.com has decided to reschedule the Exposure Film Contest - it has been pushed back to the following dates: Sunday, 5/20 at 12am - 1:30am Tuesday, 5/22 at 8:30am - 10am Thursday, 5/24 at 3am - 4:30am" |
Well you are home already so I'm guessing no.
But if you didn't....yikes....who would? Amber was in my short film , I saw the small version of broken. Cool effects man.... Wish I had a friend that knew stuff like that. |
Wow, that was cool!
I might have an opportunity to shoot out of one of these planes sometime in the next few months. How was it? Was it very hard to focus on the camera when you are up there in the air? I have never flown before, that is why I ask. Cool stuff! ~Gabriel |
Country music live video hv10 and hxa1
This is a cover band that recently played at a club near home. Shot with the hv10 and the hxa1. The audio isnt the best but it was just another chance to make another music video. Enjoy!

A little lazy afternoon filmmaking...
This short film is a project I helped my screenwriting partner's little sister shoot for her highschool film class. We shot the whole thing in two hours on DV (using the hvx though). I found out about an hour before shooting that one of the two main guys wasn't going to show up, so I ended up having to act in it myself! Since I didn't have any of the script memorized, AND I was trying to figure out how we were goign to shoot the whole thing before the sun went down, we decided to take talking points from the script and essentially improvise the entire thing.
It was a really fun afternoon, back in the mindset of highschool film making, where you weren't worried about perfect lighting, blown images, or even boom mics in the frame... it was about having a good time, and teaching these kids a little bit about film making. So, that said, it's not the prettiest piece out there, but people really seem to love it, and I think it's pretty hilarious myself (watch through to the end, it goes in a completely different direction than you'll be ready for). I hope you enjoy it! (don't forget to leave comments and ratings on youtube, Id love to get this in front of more people). -Nick Harris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdk08_qKi2s |
ok, re-edited, more simplistic, more closely related to other work and thoughts

Hey Nick, that was pretty funny.. I remember doing improve in-front of camera. lol!
Thanks for posting it on youtube and not one of those other sites. :-) I can't ever get any of those other sites that have free hosting to work for me, I don't know why that it is, but it is. I like the red hair. You wouldn't happen to be related to Chris Harris, would you? Funny stuff! ~Gabriel |

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I am of no relation to this Chris Harris fellow, who I am sure is a swell guy.
As for the red hair, my grandfather always took credit, but I'm pretty sure it was more the viking blood that did it, rather than his affinity for his own red hair. -Nick |
You are covered in woodchips!
