I like it well done. The audio seems a bit poor but that could be a product of Youtube encoding.

Very nice black and white - what camera did you use? How did you get the rich mono look?
|
I shot the entire video with the Panasonic AG-DVC30. The image is a mix between scene file settings and a little tweaking in post. I use FCE and just used a few image control filters.

Air - A Documentary
A documentary on the man responsible for the root of all life and prosperity. Air, we breathe him, we rely on him, we take him for granted! Hear his side of the story tonight.
Air http://youtube.com/watch?v=m4xCZA3fNh4 In this mockumentary me and and my friends tried to attack the terrible cliches of news report interviews and at the same time emphasize that they really don't care about who they are reporting about or what they're saying during the interview. That, or 2 kids were rushed to find a funny idea for a mock documentary for their film class in high school. Your call. |
Hi Mike,
entering the 3rd dimension is magic - you brought a strong reminder of this to my computer. :-) Beautiful movie - I really enjoyed it! Regards, Oliver |
Youtube is what it is...we do that best that we can do until something better comes along.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope to post more. Right now I have no camcorder since I sold it to go HD. Now I'm in a debate on what to invest in. Thanks again.

"Average Joe" Feature Assembly Edit Progress
It's been long enough since I started, I'm still not finished by any stretch of the imagination, but here's proof that it's coming along...Just an assembly edit so far, 45 mins, placards for the scenes I haven't gotten to yet (it contains spoilers if you want to see just the finished product):
http://www.yafiunderground.com/Video/AJ-2007-05-25.mov it requires quicktime...it's compressed with h.264 codec. it's 34Mb or so I haven't put together all of the off screen voice stuff yet...and other stuff you can see the recording setup for doing VO work. Painfully rough...nothing to critique here yet. Keep in mind it had a budget of $250 (mostly tape stock for the 50 tapes it took to shoot it, the rest was crepe hair and bottled water) Play the drinking game (maybe a shiner bock ;) )...everytime Joe has a fake beard take a drink...he shaved in the middle of the shoot and we had to replace his beard, so half the time it's real, half the time it's fake. |
Grayton Beach
Here is a little montage of shots I put together while vacationing at Grayton beach last week. Grayton beach is a small community located in the panhandle of Florida west of Panama City. Hope you enjoy it. Best viewed in half or original screen size.

Hehe - funny. :-D
However, the sound was kind of strange. Didn't the guy say something? I could hear nothing but the song at the end. Regards, Oliver |

It's a take on these web ads you see online. They're totally silent, and have the whole web cam slow shutter look.
