How do I disable the proxy videos on the 350L/330L camera?

don't think you can Rob, this is an intrinsic function of the format ... why d'you want to turn it off?

Just thought I could get a little bit more on the disc.
That 500 MB reserved area on the disc is unchangeable.

On Apple using the XDCAM transfer software, I wish
I could disable the proxy import. Just gets in the way of
time....

just press cmd-option-I or option click the import button (import all clips)
the clip import will happen right off the bat, the proxy import will happen after the fact
