HC1 live streaming thru FireWire
Hello,
Anyone try to stream live audio/video by Fire Wire cable to Windows Media Encoder or similar utility for live broadcast? I try it in HDV camcorder mode, but WME doesn't recognise video from my HC1. Maybe its working only in DV camcorder mode? In the future, I would use my HC1 to stream live broadcast in to internet (ustream, justin.tv etc.). USB connector as I know is only for MemoyStick download. In lower Sony camocerder there was no problem with this function, its wokred thru USB and FW... :( I use W7 x64 od Dell Laptop. |

Re: HC1 live streaming thru FireWire
Yeah brother do a search on these forums. I remember reading that HDV did not live stream very well or that very few camera models could do it in HDV. Go with a DV firewire out to JustinTV, Ustream, LiveStream etc..

If you purchase the paid version of u-stream producer program you can stream HDV sources.

You can stream using VLC. As it is free, it's worth a try.
