Am I in 16x9

When shooting with HDR-HC3 in HD am I always in 16x9, can't see that clearly in manual

Yes. I believe HD is always 16x9 in any camera. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

As long as your shooting HDV on the HC1 HC3 or any HDV cam in the class you are shooting 16:9.
