Sony hvr-z1 lens problem

I'm the owner of 2 Sony HVR-Z1e cameras and I seem to have a problem with dust fragments (glass?) inside the lens that cannot be removed. Has anybody else got or had this problem and how have you overcome it??

There is a way you can check to see if your lens has this problem and I would be particularly interested to hear from anyone with a Sony HVR-Z1 camera with their serial number between 1210001 and 1233350, please feel free to contact me via email: davidblake1@mac.com or skype name: jcmdcb.

Kind Regards

David

I'm also interested in an answer to this question.

I've recently noticed that my FX1 has dust inside the lens, as well as some kind of smudge on the front element. its very noticeable if I point the camera towards a bright light source such as the sun. also, blue skies show dust and hair. my warranty is was over last august. any info on how to go about cleaning the inside of the lens would be helpful.

c'mon David - what's resolved the problem? Sony replaced your camcorders on the understanding you'll keep stum? We know where you live, kinda talk?
