what is the min illumination and or lux rating of the z1?

It's rated at 3 lux. It's got pretty bloody good low light, better than the other HDV cams. The VX2000 was rated to 1 lux and is better than Z1, but you won't be dissapointed by sony's flagship HDV camera.

I always assumed the flagship camera was the FX1... It made groundbreaking sales and consumers made lots of noise when it was released... But unless of course I may have my perceptions wrong, then, all good for the Z1... I still cant affor it though :(
