Can anyone recommend a good case?
I'm looking at possibly buying a Peli 1600 or 1620 case to house the Z7, two radio mics, headphones, camera light, tapes etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations of alternatives? |

If you don't want to leave a light on top of the Z7 while putting it in the bag, there's a very nice bag from Sony itself. It is rather shallow, but it has numerous partitions that are handy for batteries, lights etc... I don't find a product item name on the bag, but you're sureley find it on the Sony website.

I have a Pelican 1560 that fits most of my Z7 kit inside. I have a Pelican 1520 for more of my audio gear.
I thought about looking around & going cheaper, but for the quality of Pelican, I don't think you can beat them. A sub-$200 case that can be dropped, shot and driven over w/ a truck, is a great investment to protect your $6,000+ camera & gear. If I was going to go w/ anything else, I'd look around at used Porta Brace or Tamrac bags.

Hi Zach - will the Peli case you mention house the camera with the supplied microphone attached?
