Flash unit for photos with EA50
Does anyone know what SONY flash unit will work for photographs? I can't find info. My expensive Canon flashes don't work (fit), and my local camera dealer doesn't have a clue. Can't find info on SONY website.

Re: Flash unit for photos with EA50
i tested with a yongnuo manual flash, and it fired correctly.
i believe its way better to use a cheap wireless transmitter, and use a manual flash off-camera. you can have better light quality (flash in different place/bounce/softbox/umbrella) i will test this weekend on a event my wireless triggers, cause i want to make sure it works for me also ;) |

Alpha DSLR and NEX Camera Flash | External Flash | HVL-F20M Review | Sony Store
This is probably the most economical one that fits the NEX series cams, The EA-50 is an NEX series camera. Best, Scott |

Vivitar 285
Just kidding Jon. But after reading that your another guy like me that has been in the business since the dark analog ages I"m guessing you might remember the 285! It was my work horse once upon a time. Steve Edit: Wow.....I just looked and was shocked to see they still make them!
