Sony AC-V700A charger question...
Hi all,
Does anyone own this charger? My question is, if you put a battery on it AND connect it to the camera with a battery on it (the camera) as well, will it charge both batteries? Thanks, Scott |

I have the charger but with a quick look, don't see how it could connect to the camera. The charger has one AC socket for the power cord and a little DC 3-pin out thing on the side. So I don't see how it would connect to the camera's AC power adaptor. But, maybe that's what that DC out is for?

You have to have a special cable.
I think the lack of answers reflects the general use of the camera. Few of us have ever plugged it into the wall because the batteries last so long.

The desription says: Sony AC-V700A AC Power Adapter / Charger The pic and description on B&H show a cord with a "battery like" attachment as well as a cord that looks like it will plug into the camera...unless I am mistaken. I think it's meant to replace the adapter that came with the camera not plug into it. Wierd... Thanks anyway, I'll see if any store around here has one to look at. Cheers, Scott |

I have one of these too, but I don't have the DC out cable either. I just charge 2 batteries at a time by using the on cam charger and the 700 seperately on two outlets. As I use 8 hour batts its never been a prob.
