Format Conversion Question
I'm trying to get my EX-1 footage to play on the Western Digital TV HD Media Player. It won't recognize the EX-1 file format. What is format conversion, how does it work, and where can I find a product for the Mac (I use FCP)? Right now I'm using Compressor--it takes six hours to render a twenty minute file of EX-1 footage and compresses it down to 2.9G! Will a format converter result in a better/less compressed picture?
MANY thanks for any help! |

You should be able to just re-name the files to .m2ts or something similar.
Itīs a great thread on this topic called "the magic box for viewing ex footage" if I remember correctly. Search for it here on the forum. . Everything is covered in that thread, more or less. Good luck |
