SEL/SET working erratically

I've started noticing that the SEL/SET wheel on the back of my EX1 is becoming unreliable and wondered if anybody else had experienced the same problem?

When trying to use it to do something like adjust setting in the menu, I'll roll the wheel to move down the menu and the highlighted selection will actually start jumping upwards instead, this makes it very difficult to use.

I'm going to send the camera back to Sony, but I'm so busy at the moment I really don't want to risk being without it for long. I can start using the one on top of the camera instead, but I prefer the one on the back. It's had enough use to completely remove the lettering too.

Has anybody had this fixed, and did it take long?

Thanks

Paul.

i have big hands and my tiny scroll wheel never did work properly for my hands.
Always use the little toggle on the top.
Works for me everytime.

UK Prime Support is normally pretty quick, typically 5 to 6 working days door to door days.

With me, this was a problem from the beginning, that was fixed by a firmware upgrade. Does yours have an old version of the firmware on it?
