Hi,
I was chatting to a camera operator from the BBC last month about the XDCAM range. I said about how expensive the SxS cards are and that if there was a cheaper alternative I'd really love to buy the camera. He said that you can buy adapters that go in to the SxS slots on the EX cameras, and insert SDHC cards into them - saving loads of money. He said that the adapters were originally made for the Macbooks to enable the user to use SD cards with the express card slot. Has anybody tried this? What's been the outcome? What flaws do you see with this? Can these SDHC cards only be used with the newer EX1r or can they be used with the EX1 as well? Just interested to find out! Thanks, Ollie |
