EX1 weak link - grip issue

Small update, I heard that the grip eyelet broke on another EX1 cam in Croatia. A friend told me that it happened yesterday to one of his colleagues and the camera fell to the ground. Luckily he was on a football pitch so it landed on soft grass.

I believe that is the EX1R, unless I am corrected.

I received the replacement cover today (together with a new wriststrap, didn't know I'll get one!). I didn't take a side by side picture as it is completely the same as the one that broke.

Changing it was simple, done in less than 5 minutes.

I left the spectra rope looped through the strap and tied to the accessory wing, just in case...

total cost: around $160
