Official: Sony (alpha) DSLR-A100

Well, it's been announced, price, specs, options, etc.
On the Sony Style page link, the new camera is officially listed with a pre-order option.
A nice series of lenses, both rebadged Minolta and new Zeiss glass accompany the release.

Is this mount compatable with other Minolta lenses ?? I couldn't tell on a quick perusal of the page. Any idea ?

From DPreview: Identical to the Minolta A-type bayonet mount, enabling the use of a large back catalogue of existing Minolta and third party lenses as well as avoiding the development of a whole new system. We presume that all future Sony Alpha lenses are going to be a 'digital only design' for the APS-C size sensor.

Will Sony's prices go up, down or stay the same as Minolta's?

I did just buy me a brand new FM3a for $700 Canadian. I almost got sucked in on e-bay.

I guess it helped that Sony all ready had an arrangement with Zeiss optics.
