Does anyone know how the Mack warranty works?
I purchased a Mack-4year warranty on my DVX100. If down the road I need to send it in for service do I send it in to Mack. Are they just as good at working on the DVX as Pansonic themselves?
Lastly how do I know my Mack warranty is activated. I sent out the card with the reciept and all the info the week I got the camera but never recieved any confirmation mail or anything. |

You should direct your questions and inquiries to Mack. Whatever we say really won't have any effect on the terms of your warranty and Mack's interpretation of them.

one thing i found intriguing is that bottons sliders, switches HEADS are NOT covered....
this is surprising when u consider that even though these are the most freq used parts, if they fail they are still a manufacturers defect as these are basically parts of "normal operation" NOT wear and tear. fact remains these parts SHOULD BE designed to withstand wear and tear, i mean lets say your firewide plug dies... after 3 uses... is that wear and tear?? according to the warranty provider it is, but who decides what is a defect and what is wear and tear...? even so, i got one of these as i bought my DVX from another country... at least i have peace of mind knowing that if the tape transport Mechanism dies its covered... |
