shooting a Pilot for the web

I have a GL2 and want to shoot a pilot with it. Is this a good camera to use for a pilot? The final product will be shown on the web only. Is this camera good for that type of production? It will be shot mostly inside with some daytime ext shots. I also want to shoot in frame mode at 16:1. Will this work or should I go with the XL2?
