When is Microsoft Office 2007 for Mac coming out?

I have Office X for Mac but it's 5 years old and getting a bit long-in-the-tooth. When is the rumored 2007 edition coming out?

Thanks,

heath

Can't be soon enough for me, Heath.

I'm always astonished when I occasionally quit Word and get a partial hangup and an "quit MS Basic?" dialog box.

Sheesh.

Actually there's a newer version than Office X (which I also use). There's Office 2004 for Mac: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/

We needed to get some copies at work a few years ago, but I didn't bother with the upgrade myself since I don't have too many problems with the old version on my Powerbook G4 or dual G5. Never saw the bug you described Bill!

I've read a couple reviews of the new windows version which didn't sound so great. Evidently they have completely redone the interface such that all you have are toolbars from hell with no menus...

I stopped bothering with Office ages ago. I use the free NeoOffice these days.

I really wanted to like NeoOffice, but it seemed very sluggish on my machine and didn't always import existing complex excel spreadsheets correctly. But hopefully these problems will be solved eventually.

I tried NeoOffice and my docs wouldn't open on Office computers (Mac and Windows) and vice versa.
