Sachtler DV 8: Stuck Counter Balance
I just picked up a new Sachtler DV 8 this afternoon and started to play with it once I got home. The problem is that now the counter balance won't go below 8! I can move it between 8-12 but it won't go back down to 1. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem, or do I have to send it back right away? :S

Show of Force
In my experience with bigger Sachtler heads, they do sometimes stick at a certain drag setting. Very often I have to just force it to go up or down. Then it just works as usual for the longest time until it someday it sticks again, then I use the same remedy and continue on for another 10 yrs or so.
