Low Level Tripod

Hi guys,

I'm new here (in Tripod section) and I did some research but I can't seem to find the right answer.

I'm looking for very low level tripod for my Sony FX1000 (5 lbs w/o accessories). It can be without a head since I can always use the one I've already have (75mm bowl-type). Which legs or legs/head combo would you suggest? To make it simpler to imagine - I want to be able to shoot a chase scene out of the car trunk (I can fit myself into Range Rover or any other full size SUV), but want to keep the camera as low to the floor of the car as possible, and still have room to pan, tilt, etc :-)

Thanks for any tips.

P.S. Let's not go crazy about the prize - it must be solid tripod but nothing fancy or super-light weight.

Have you considered acquiring a compatible 75 mm bowl and fitting it with very short legs attached to a board?

Hi Lukas...........

Something like this:

75mm Ball Hi Hat

Manfrotto and others do similar units in various degrees of fancy.

Like these:

Too low?

Wow. I knew I can count on you guys.

Hi-hat is a great and cheap solution by I would limit myself just to this one type of usage.

The baby tripods are great too - more versatile.

Thanks again :-)
