Manfrotto long/short plates

We have been using the 501/503 series for years now and really like them. I was looking at one of the newer heads that they are releasing and it uses the longer plate. Will the short (501/503) plates fit or is a completely different design?

Thanks,

Chad Dyle

Re: Manfrotto long/short plates

I use the short plates all the time with my 504hd and they work just fine. The design is the same...just longer.
