wedding.com

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I had the chance to visit. I did a search but couldn't find any threads on this subject, if this been discussed in the past, I apologize.

Is anyone here using wedding.com to find clients? For those unfamiliar with it, it's a site you can join and they will give you leads to couples looking for vendors in your area. Basically, the couples sign up, check off what vendors they are looking for and the budget for their wedding.

I signed up for a 6 month membership because A) they said if you don't get any bookings they will give you another 6 months for free. B) It wasn't very expensive and C) I liked the interface.

So, 6 months passed and no clients. Now I'm on my free second 6 months and no activity yet. They are a new site, so I realize they may need some time to become known to couples seeking vendors, so I guess I'm asking, is anyone else having better luck than I am?

Re: wedding.com

I was on Wedding Wire and my work is well liked in the Bay Area. These sites are generally flooded with vendors in videography so the chances of you getting noticed are slimmer. I was 2nd - 5th place on W.W.s site and got maybe 6-10 inquires a year. Come to find out they were all brides wanting to spend under $2k. To me they are a waste of money. Put your dollars in Facebook ads or Google.
