Re: What are you using for a safety camera?

Also, if you would plan on getting a sony, the Sony HDR PJ780 and Sony HDR PJ810 have different sensors so watch out for that, the 780 has a 1/2,88 (6,3 mm) sensor and the 810 has a 1/3,95 (4,6 mm) sensor.

They definitely have different performances, it's the 780 you need to get.

Wow, realy, 5? Don't tell me you juggle all 5 by yourself? :) I have a gh3 as well and love the image it outputs but I only use it when I"m controlling the camera, I never would leave it unattended like I can with my cx730 or ax100.

How much did the CX730 cost? I can't seem to find a listing for it or its successor.

I just looked on the Sony site and it appears they don't make these models with 1/2,88 (6,3 mm) sensor anymore. I paid 830 euro for mine.

I don't have a cx780 but compared the specifications of both camera's on the sony site and they appear to be identical. You can check if you want to be sure but I can't find any differences.
