nesting, not so very good...
I dont understand why nesting is so high rated.
I tested to nest just one veg file and rendering it out. the project took twice the time instead of rendering it as usual... Good to use when you have alot of .veg, but prepare of very long rendering time. |

nesting can be a very valuable tool BUT remember when you render the VEG file to MPEG every frame has to be looked at and compressed and if you have FXs like color correction or some others the render time is or can be very long.
Why not render the VEG file to AVI first-THEN render that to MPEG. Yes it is a 2 step process but from my very unscientific tests (using this method for a number of years-since I started with Vegas Version 3) I can say that it is faster than rendering an FX laden file straight to MPEG and IMHO there is little if any perceptible loss of quality. Once the file has been rendered to AVI when rendering to mpeg it is a much much faster process. just a thought. Don |
