1440x1080x32 what does the 32 mean ??

this is the PAL XH A1.
in Vegas clip properties it shows this per clip.
what is that 32 at the end?
i googled it and no luck.

That's the bit count for the color sampling. 32bits in total.

that means you are using an alpha channel (4x8 RGB+a).
Since you cannot divide 32 by 3 , it is likely the case, but you could have 30bit RGB with 10 bit for each color.

It means you are using an alpha channel, 8 bits per channelx4=32.
When there is no alpha channel, it reads 24.

regarding the alpha channel, is this something inherent in the HDV stream? because i have not used anything. this is just clicking on the clips in explorer and reading their properties underneath. no processing.
