David, the firewire connections are OHCI compliant and there are no question marks next to them.

Dwight, the only thing I can think of is that perhaps the JVC DH 30000U is not complient with Vegas--it defiantely is not on there tested equipment list--although that doesn't mean that it shouldn't work. Dwight, take this over to are.sonypictuhttp://mediasoftwres.com/forums/default.asp?ms=1

A Sony Tech or one of the gurus over there should be able to get you up and going--you might refer them to this thread so you dont waste any time--Let me know what happens.
